Amy's Dream is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home that sleeps 6. It is in the Johnson Crawford addition. If you're looking for a great home in a family friendly area the beach, take a look at Amy's Dream! This home has everything you'll need on your vacation. The comfy living room is the perfect area to gather with your family. The kitchen has everything you'll need to cook your favorite meals. Walk upstairs to find the perfect spot to relax with your favorite book. This home has wifi for your convenience. Outside you'll find a nice deck for lounging with a distant view of the beach. When you're ready for some fun in the sun it's just a short walk or ride away.

We provide linens and bath towels in every house and standard beds are made for your arrival. Paper products and cleaning supplies are not included.

There is a starter pack consisting of the items below, please bring anything else you will need:

1 dishwasher tab (if applicable)

This home might have an outdoor camera(s) to monitor the exterior of the home. Any attempt at disabling, redirecting or obscuring the camera(s) is prohibited and may result in the guest being evicted without refund of outstanding nights’ rents.

Policies

Cancellation Policy

We understand there can be unforeseen emergencies that could cause you to cancel your reservation. We will try to resolve any and all situations with you. However, please note our cancellation policy below. Bolivar Escapes reserves the right to substitute an equal rental property if necessary.

There are no refunds for appliance failure (including air conditioning), utility failure, internet failure or circumstances beyond our control, including weather.

Our standard cancellation policy is effective for all reservations starting on or after June 1, 2020. If you choose to cancel more than 30 days before your scheduled arrival date, a full refund will be issued, minus the cancellation fee and the travel insurance premium, if taken. If you choose to cancel within 30 days of your scheduled arrival date, there will be NO refund. If we are able to re-rent the property for the dates you have reserved, we will give you a 50% refund of your confirmation amount only for the days re-rented for the same time period.

If further emergency orders from Galveston County or the State of Texas prevent check-ins at any time beyond June 1, 2020 we will issue new guidance. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at bolivarescapes@att.net with any questions about your specific reservation. As of 11:30 am June 29, 2020 There are no state or county closure orders that impact short term rentals or beach access.”

Hurricane, Tropical Storms, tropical Depressions & Mandatory Evacuation Policy
Bolivar Escapes does not offer refunds in the event of a mandatory hurricane evacuation although Bolivar Escapes will transfer the reservation, for the same property, to available alternative dates for the same reservation time period in the case of an evacuation - whether voluntary or mandatory.

In the event of an ordered evacuation due to hurricanes or other storms, you are required by state law to evacuate the property. If you have declined trip cancellation insurance, you shall not be entitled to a refund by Bolivar Escapes. Refunds for the period of mandatory evacuation will be made solely by the travel insurance provider, provided the Guest has purchased the optional trip cancellation insurance. Refunds and coverage issues will be processed and determined solely by the travel insurance provider. Refer to the trip cancellation policy or contact the travel insurance provider directly for specific information and/or refund procedures. If you leave due to "Storm Warnings" or "Voluntary Evacuation", Bolivar Escapes will not issue refunds. Bolivar Escapes will not issue refunds in part or in full for inclement weather. (See "Travel Insurance" section below for details).

We strongly recommend that Guests purchase travel insurance for stays occurring during hurricane season - June 1 through November 30. Please see the "Travel Insurance" section below for details.

OFFICIAL NOTIFICATION: By signing the Rental Contract, each Guest acknowledges being offered insurance to compensate the Guest for losses or damages resulting from loss of use of the property due to a mandatory evacuation order. If the Guest refuses said offer to purchase travel insurance, the Guest shall not be entitled to a refund of monies paid. the Guest also agrees to comply with all orders of evacuation.

Travel Insurance
Things happen! Unforeseen circumstances such as sudden illnesses, job loss, deaths or hurricanes do occur.

Travel Insurance is offered to help protect your vacation investment. This insurance is optional, but we recommend it so that you may be financially reimbursed in case of unforeseen events.

All Guests will receive an email outlining the travel insurance along with the Rental Contract and Guest Registration forms. Travel Insurance premiums are non-taxable and are non-refundable under any circumstances.

Deposit Policy

Half of rental subtotal and half of taxes plus the total amount of all fees will be required as a reservation payment. The reservation payment must be received within seven days of confirmation or a cancellation will automatically occur. The remaining charges will be due 3 days prior to check-in. Personal checks will be accepted for rentals if received at least 14 days or more prior to arrival.

The remaining balance will be charged to the card we have on file, 3 days prior to check-in.

Rate varies due to seasonality and holidays.

We had a few issues in this property, but management contacted us promptly and attempted to fix what they could. Internet was very sporadic. We stayed 3 nights and it only worked for one day. If you depend on internet you may want to bring a hot spot. Cell signal was also bad. We found tree roaches and other small bugs inside the house and inside the dishwasher which discouraged us from using the dishwasher during the stay, light bubs were out my husband had to get on top of a chair to change the kitchen overhead light so we can see when we cooked, some areas were not clean/dusted, we had to clean a few areas before we used the facilities. Blinds were not working we had to struggle to let some natural light in. TVs in room were not connected to anything so kids and my other guests could not watch tv while we were there. There is no closet available in the master bedroom (it was locked when we stayed there) so keep that in mind if you need to hang stuff or to store luggage. The secondary restroom needs some renovations, the master bathroom is nice. The freezer leaks inside so it creates a puddle inside the fridge , we had to keep drying the water puddle and moving food around.
On the positive side: house has nice layout, it has nice washer and dryer, and the location is a short walk to the beach. The AC worked well.

I let management know of these items that were happening and she did come by but most stuff could not be fixed on the spot, or we had already cleaned. Hopefully they can get the cleaning crew to deep clean the house and have someone fix the items that are not working for the next guest.
