Over the Rainbow

Over the Rainbow is a unique bayside cottage with 3 bedrooms and 2 and a half bathrooms. It sleeps 10 and is pet-friendly. A separate $200 pet fee is required in addition to your rental expenses. The uniqueness of this home is that it is not on piers, making it perfect for renters who don't like climbing stairs! The comfy living room has ample seating for all of your guests and a TV for streaming your favorite show or movies. You will find the login and password information for the WIFI, conveniently displayed in a frame near the TV. The kitchen has all the necessary amenities to make meal preparations quick and easy. The dining table is spacious and a great spot for gathering to play games, put together a puzzle, or have a family dinner. Off of this kitchen/dining area is a screened-in porch. This is an awesome sitting area for early morning coffee without pesky flying critters! Just off the screened porch is a laundry room and half bathroom. This home has a bedroom with a queen, and a bedroom with 2 sets of twin/full bunk beds. There is also a guest bathroom. All of these are on the ground level. Upstairs, you will find the primary suite with a king bed and an attached bathroom with a step-in shower. On this upstairs level, there is access to the large deck. You will have amazing views of sunrises and sunsets from here! You might even get glimpses of the boats out on the Intracoastal Waterway. Outside is a large, covered carport area that can be used for cookouts, family gatherings, kid's play area, or parking vehicles. Over the Rainbow- "Skies are blue and dreams really do come true!"
Even when provided, internet access TV/cell service can be unreliable on the Bolivar Peninsula. We are a rural community. We apologize, but Bolivar Escapes Cannot Guarantee that these amenities will be working during your stay, and Cannot Offer Refunds for disruption of these services. This home might have an outdoor camera(s) to monitor the exterior of the home. Any attempt at disabling, redirecting or obscuring the camera(s) is prohibited and may result in the guest being evicted without refund of outstanding nights’ rent. If a home has a lift or elevator, it is not for renter use unless otherwise stated in comments or with permission from Bolivar Escapes.
We provide linens and bath towels in every house, and standard beds are made for your arrival. Paper products and cleaning supplies are not included.
There is a starter pack consisting of the items below, please bring anything else you will need:
1 roll of paper towels
3 white kitchen trash bags
2 dishwasher tab (if applicable)
2 laundry tab (if applicable)
1 small dish soap
1 dish sponge
2 rolls of toilet tissue per bathroom
Small bar hand soap per bathroom
1 trial size of shampoo/conditioner per full bath
1 beauty bar per bath
Small salt and pepper
Small cooking oil
There will also be a bath towel set for each guest.
Don't forget the beach towels, bug spray, and sunscreen! Once booked, log in to your portal for things to do on the Peninsula.
All our homes are located at Crystal Beach/Port Bolivar/Gilchrist. Not Galveston.
